p>I am excited to finally be a Spooner Rail!  I have been teaching the past 11 years in Grantsburg as a 3rd grade teacher. I have decided to start a new path in  my career as a 4th grade teacher here at Spooner!

I grew up in Amery, WI and spent most of my weekends on the Yellow River at our family cabin.  I attended UWSP and graduated in 2007 with my teaching degree.  I received my Masters Degree at St Mary's University in 2010.  I am married to Dale Stafford, a Spooner graduate and we have two children, Wyatt and Lacee. Wyatt will be a Kindergartner and Lacee will be a Little Rail this year.  We enjoy hunting and fishing with our family and friends.  I have three golden retrievers and eight hounds.  We enjoy training our hounds with bear, coyote and bobcat. If you don't see me at work, you will see me in the woods or on the water:)

I am looking forward to my new journey at Spooner as a 4th grade teacher.  I am a huge advocate of developing positive relationships with students and letting them pursue their learning through discovery and problem solving.  I am excited to share my teaching experience with others and continuing to grown in my teaching profession.  Let the journey begin....GO RAILS!
