2026 SCHOOL BOARD ELECTION DATES

• December 1, 2025 - January 6, 2026 - Candidate filing period
• December 26, 2025 by 5 p.m. - Deadline for incumbents to file Notice of Noncandidacy
• January 6, 2026 by 5 p.m. - Candidate filing deadline
• February 17, 2026 - Primary Election
• April 7, 2026 - Spring Election

SCHOOL BOARD CANDIDATE INFORMATION & FORMS

School district electors who are interested in becoming candidates for school board at the Spring election need to complete the Ballot Access documents. The documents can be found below or picked up from the SASD District Office located at 801 Cty Hwy A, Spooner, WI 54801. Ballot Access documents need to be filed with Jessie Robotti in the District Office by the deadline listed in the above.

Spooner Area School District

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that an election will be held in the Spooner Area School District on Tuesday, April 7, 2026. The following offices are to be elected to succeed the present incumbents listed. Three members will be elected to three-year terms expiring April 22, 2029.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN, that a Campaign Registration Statement and Declaration of Candidacy must be filed no later than 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, in the District Office located in the High School complex at 801 County Highway A, Spooner, WI 54801.

District boundary information can be obtained at the above location.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN, if required, the date for a primary election is Tuesday, February 17, 2026.

Additional Information

Acceptable Photo ID will be required to vote at this election.  If you do not have a photo ID you may obtain a free ID for voting from the Division of Motor Vehicles.
