p>Hola! I am Maria Nelson, M.S and H.S Spanish Teacher. I am originally from Quito, the capital of Ecuador.  I lived in my home country for about 18 years so my 1st language is Spanish and my 2nd language is English.   I graduated from the University of Wisconsin - River Falls, with a Business Degree with an emphasis in International Business and Human Resources.  I went back to School to obtain my Spanish Teaching Degree and started teaching in the Spooner Area School District. 

 

I look forward to a great year in which I am hoping to motivate many students to continue taking Spanish because understanding and speaking a second language can be a helpful skill to have beyond high school and it can also open many doors in their future.
