Mighty Engines meets 4 days a week and serves students from 4K-4th grade. The 21st Century Community Learning Center (21st CCLC) program, supported by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, provides safe, engaging after-school and summer learning opportunities for students. Activities are designed to support what students are learning during the school day while also offering fun, hands-on enrichment in areas like literacy, STEM, the arts, health, and life skills. The program focuses on meeting students where they are, building confidence and skills, and strengthening connections between school, families, and the community. All programming takes place at the Spooner Elementary School.
Mighty Engines serves families throughout the Spooner Community. Students do not need to be enrolled at SES to participate. Offerings change quarterly and do require a new registration for each.

Pick Up Policies
Early Pick-Ups
Early pickups are strongly discouraged as students are actively involved in scheduled activities. Early pick-up will only be allowed in extenuating circumstances and should not become a regular practice. If early pick-up becomes a recurring issue, families will receive up to three reminders. After the third reminder, the student will be removed from the program to allow a waitlisted student to participate.
After School Pick-Ups
Pick-up is from 5-5:30 PM in the cafeteria. We ask that you enter through the front entrance. Out of respect for our after-school staff, students must be picked up no later than 5:30 PM. If late pick-up becomes a recurring issue, families will receive up to two reminders. On the third instance, your child will be removed from the program.
Attendance Policy
Many clubs have waitlists this year. If a student is absent twice from a specific club, their spot may be given to the next student on the list. Please note: all absences—excused or unexcused—count toward this limit. Be sure to notify Mighty Engines staff through ParentSquare if your child is going to be absent.
