Completed 2010-2011 PTA Events:
- Sponsor of Jack Pine Savage Carnival
- Partner of Farm to School Program (we helped water and weed the SES & SMS gardens for one week in the summer)
- Back to School Supply Drive and PTA Carnival) - PTA able was able to donate thousands of school supplies to all three schools - (Click here for a list of supplies donated)
- Magnetic Calendars for the entire student body and faculty (other sponsors include: Dahl Funeral Home, Spooner Health Systems, and Bank of the West).
- Sponsor of Jack-O-Lantern Festival - partnering with Lakeland Family Resource - pumpkin painting and healthy treat bag
- Original Works Fundraiser - very successful fundraiser – sent in over 400 pieces of artwork - completed products have been distributed
- Craft Fair – held on Saturday, November 6th at the Spooner Middle School Antholz Gym - in conjunction with the Spooner Music Program piano fundraiser – we had 33 vendors – also very successful
- Reflections Program - Gallery Show was on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at Spooner Middle School commons – 21 student projects went on to the state PTA competition (see attached list) and 12 of these students won at state - Congratulations
- SMS Forensics Concessions – PTA sold concessions for the SMS Forensics meet
- PTA Free Movie partnering with Palace Theatre presented Nanny McPhee Returns on Saturday, February 26, 2011.
- SES Family Reading Night – on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 – the PTA helped AmeriCorps and SES put on this great event which included dinner and reading activity stations (including storytelling in English and Spanish, water color poetry, Cat in the Hat photo op and reading under the stars. There were over 180 participants!
- Spooner PTA High School Scholarships – applications were due Friday, April 1, 2011 to Mrs. Johnson, Spooner High School Guidance Counselor – recipients were announced in May
