It is unlawful to discriminate against employees and job applicants because of their:

  • Sex
  • Color

  • Creed (religion)
  • Age (40 or over)
  • Use of lawful products
  • Arrest or Conviction Record
  • Honesty Testing
  • Pregnancy or Childbirth
  • Sexual Orientation
  • National Orgin
  • Genetic Testing
  • Military Service Membership

Additional Discrimination Information:
It is unlawful to discriminate against employees and job applicants because of their:

  • Employers may not require certain types of testing as a condition of employment, nor discipline an employee because of the results.
  • Employees may not be sexually harasses in the workplace nor retaliated against for filing a complaint. For assisting with a complaint, or for opposing discrimination in the workplace.
  • This law applies to employers, employment agencies, labor unions and licensing agencies.
  • There is a 300 day time limit for filing a discrimination complaint.
